Photos

Photos are provided for each taxon, showing characteristic features of the organism, and in some instances, its associated habitat.

The photographic data include a description of each image, the location where the specimen was observed or collected, and the date the photograph was taken.

Location information generally includes the county and state where the specimen was observed. In cases where the location could not be assigned to a county and/or state (e.g., because the specimen was located in the ocean), an alternate location description is provided (e.g., Cape Cod Bay).

The date is written in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

Where available, photos are included that show associations with other species.
